Favorite part about teaching Pilates:
Pilates is a practice rooted in mindfulness and body awareness - something missing from a lot of the more demanding workouts and sports I participated in my past. I love that Pilates can be challenging, safe, and effective, even rehabilitative, for every person I work with. Pilates teaches us the correct way to move in our bodies and gives us the ability to age gracefully.

Get to know Chloe:
Fitness and wellness has been my passion. Growing up competing in a wide range of sports, I was able to translate that passion into my work. As an ACE certified trainer, helping clients achieve their goals and pushing them to their best potential is what I’ve always loved to do. Working for over 9 yrs across various gyms and studios in the Philadelphia area, I’m excited to bring my experience and drive to the MVMNT team. 

Favorite part about teaching strength and movement:
I enjoy being a support system for my clients - providing accountability and motivation to show up for yourself, to help build the confidence to push harder and give guidance when needed.

Get to know Kate:
After 600 hours of yoga teacher training in the small beach town of Wilmington, NC, Kate began regularly teaching classes and connected to movement in a whole new way. She spent the next 4 years exploring the mind-body connection and supporting her community through creative flows. Kate is trained in traditional Pilates, resides in Philadelphia, and practices as a Registered Dietitian. 

Favorite part about teaching Pilates and movement:
Watching individuals strengthen their connection with their body in real time is hands down my favorite part of teaching. Everyone deserves to feel at home in their body and that is my life's work.

Get to know Mackenzie:
Mackenzie first fell into pilates as a form of conditioning for dance classes, but didn’t fully understand and appreciate the benefits of it until she moved to Philly for her first job out of college. She started taking mat classes religiously to unwind and recenter after stressful work days, and found practice to be invigorating, empowering, healing and addicting. Wanting to help others to discover the power of mindful movement, Mackenzie deepened her practice to become a fully certified Pilates instructor through Polestar Pilates’ 497-hour program.

Favorite part about teaching Pilates:
The room for creativity when it comes to designing and teaching pilates classes! There are only 34 classical mat exercises, but there are endless twists that you can put on them through the use of props to support or challenge movers.

Get to know Brent:
Over eight years of experience, nine certifications and counting, a master trainer, with vast fitness and movement experience. Father, musician, MC/DJ, he is always learning and working to improve his skillset. He brings a passion to make every person he meets to move and feel better!

Favorite part about teaching Pilates, strength and movement:
I enjoy seeing the light go off and the people that I'm lucky enough to work with understand how much strength they truly have and how much of their life they have been missing out on. Seriously Siri play again.

Rachael is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and professional opera singer. She fell in love with fitness by taking classes just like you! Rachael has a passion for functional fitness, and has been teaching since 2019. The way to her heart is a kettlebell and a good dad joke. She can't wait to meet you!

Favorite part about teaching strength and movement:
I love teaching strength because I get a front row seat to the development of members' confidence. Watching members get stronger each week is just as much an emotional growth as it is a physical one.

Chandler L.

Get to know Chandler:
Chandler first found Pilates through her years growing up as a competitive dancer. During her time dancing professionally, she wanted to dive in deeper to her Pilates practice, so she became a fully certified instructor. Chandler fell in love with teaching Pilates while living in New York, working with an array of different clientele. After being a Philly resident now for the last 2 years, she is excited and ready to share her passion of movement with you after recently having a baby boy! When she isn’t teaching at the studio catch her taking lots of walks with her husband, son & pup, grabbing coffee with friends, or reading a good book!

Favorite part about teaching Pilates:
I love that Pilates is truly for anyBODY. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, Pilates can be used to help build strength, rehab injuries, work on posture and alignment, the list is endless. You will always walk out of a Pilates class feeling better than when you walked in. There truly is no better feeling than creating a great community in the studio, and getting to build relationships with so many amazing clients!

Get to know Katrina:
Katrina is a Philly kid - who loves to laugh and sing and dance and eat vegetables and grill meats and garden and be with friends and family. She loves her beautiful tiny elderly chihuahua as fiercely as he loves her. Go Birds-Phils-Flyers-Sixers!

Favorite part about teaching Pilates:
Making connections with students, and being a positive part of their daily lives in a healing environment. Also the rewarding feeling of seeing progress in the way clients move their bodies. Katrina’s own regular Pilates practice has eliminated nagging low back pain and has made her upper body low-key jacked.
